News: Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2024 New Announcement

Bloodstock has decided to shower us with all manner of early Christmas presents by way of their latest announcement, and there really are some true goliaths of their respective genres in there.

Landing the Sunday Special Guest slot on the Ronnie James Dio stage is the Grind Core and Melodic Death Metal pioneers Carcass who will undoubtedly crush Catton Hall with their infectious grooves, battering riffs and colossal Metal anthems.

The Ronnie James Dio stage will also be treated to some fine South American Progressive Sludge courtesy Paulo Jr et al, and their metal project Cultura Tres.

The festival will be closed out on the Sunday by the legendary Black Metal icons Satyricon on the Sophie Lancaster Stage. After a five-year break, Satyricon have returned to the live environment and returned to Bloodstock, and they are sure to absolutely teach Bloodstock a lesson in how to deliver Black Metal of the highest order. I for one simply can not wait.

The Sophie Lancaster Stage welcomes more new additions in the form of the mighty Sylosis, the American Gioths Ludovico Technique, the fun-loving metal pirates Red Rum and the Spanish alt-metal collective Ankor.

Death-tinged Thrash will be served on the Sophie Lancaster Stage courtesy of Bloodstock first timers Sadus and the Thursday Sophie Lancaster Stage headline slot will be nurtured by the Prog Metal Swedes Evergrey. Classic Heavy Metallers Tailgunner and the Rock n’ Roll squad South of Salem also bolster up the Thursday Sophie Lancaster Stage billing.

Standard weekend tickets are still available, along with the popular deposit scheme where you can pay for your ticket over monthly instalments 🎄if you plan to give the gift of Bloodstock this Christmas, make sure you add the free Christmas gift card with your purchase.

SEE YOU IN THE PIT!
