Bruno Mars has added more stadium shows to the Australian and New Zealand leg of ‘The Romantic Tour’, with Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland all picking up extra dates following heavy demand during the presale.
The additions take the 2027 run to 14 stadium shows across the region. Mars will now play a second night at Perth’s Optus Stadium on February 14, a fourth Melbourne show at Marvel Stadium on February 24, a third Sydney date at Accor Stadium on March 8 and a third Auckland show at Eden Park on March 16.
It is a sizeable expansion of a tour that was already operating on a large scale. Melbourne now gets four nights at Marvel Stadium, while Sydney’s three Accor Stadium shows fall on March 4, 5 and 8. Brisbane retains two nights at Suncorp Stadium on February 28 and March 1.
The new dates arrive before tickets have even reached general sale, giving some indication of the demand surrounding Mars’ return. General tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, September 4, with staggered local sale times across each city.
Mars will be joined throughout the Australian and New Zealand run by Tyla, while longtime collaborator Anderson .Paak appears as DJ Pee .Wee. The shows will also feature a special Silk Sonic performance, bringing Mars and .Paak back together onstage after the pair’s Grammy-winning run with the project.
‘The Romantic Tour’ follows the release of Mars’ fourth solo album, ‘The Romantic’, which gave him the biggest album debut of his career and his first record to enter the Billboard 200 at number one. It includes ‘I Just Might’, which became his tenth US number one single, alongside ‘Risk It All’, another chart-topper internationally.
The scale of the Australasian run follows an equally substantial response elsewhere. ‘The Romantic Tour’ generated the largest single-day ticket sales in Live Nation history across North America, Europe and the UK, while 2.1 million tickets were sold through Ticketmaster in a single day.
Mars is no stranger to stadium-sized audiences. Recent years have included seven consecutive sold-out Tokyo Dome concerts and 14 sold-out stadium shows across Brazil, while his 2024 opening of Los Angeles’ Intuit Dome included a surprise appearance from Lady Gaga for the first live performance of ‘Die With A Smile’.
Australia and New Zealand now become the next chapter in that touring schedule. With four extra shows added before general sale begins, ‘The Romantic Tour’ has grown from a major stadium visit into a 14-date run across five cities.
