Logic1000 has released ‘The Only One’, a new collaboration with Christine and the Queens and the latest track to emerge from her forthcoming second album ‘Confirmation!’.

The single comes with Logic1000’s first fully realised music video, directed by Dora Paphides and choreographed by Lucy Brooks, with Sky Cook as assistant choreographer. Filmed in the seaside town of Worthing, it features Christine and the Queens’ Rahim alongside a group of young dancers, using movement to explore the song’s ideas of connection, trust and generational change.

‘The Only One’ also closes a circle that began several years ago. Logic1000, aka Samantha Poulter, first crossed creative paths with Christine and the Queens when she remixed ‘La vita nuova’ in 2020. The pair later reconnected while working on ‘Confirmation!’, although much of that collaboration took place remotely and they did not actually meet in person until the video shoot.

Poulter built the track around an open, atmospheric electronic production, leaving space for Rahim’s vocal to carry much of its emotional weight. His lyrics address younger generations inheriting a troubled world, but rather than dwelling on its problems, the song places its faith in their ability to change it.

It is another indication of the wider musical territory Poulter is exploring on ‘Confirmation!’, which arrives October 2 via Therapy/Because Music. The album follows her 2024 debut ‘Mother’ and her contribution to the DJ-Kicks series, moving between house, pop, downtempo, trip-hop and leftfield electronica.

The record also finds Poulter working with a broad group of collaborators. Kučka, Jam City, FAUZIA, yunè pinku and Tiffi M appear alongside Christine and the Queens, while the album’s themes circle around acceptance, growth and the freedom of letting go of fixed ideas about who you are supposed to become.

Over the past five years, Logic1000 has developed a catalogue that sits comfortably between headphones and the dancefloor. Support from Four Tet, Floating Points and Caribou helped bring her productions to a wider audience, while appearances at Glastonbury, Coachella and Primavera have established her as a regular presence on major festival bills.

She has also brought that approach to remixes for Dua Lipa, Shygirl and Don Toliver, while a four-night sold-out residency at London’s Phonox demonstrated the club roots that remain central to her work.
