News: Cult Heroes Ho99o9 Bring the Chaos Down Under

Ho99o9 are coming. Hide your rules, your algorithms, and your precious genre tags.

The cult rap-punk-industrial-noise duo — pronounced “Horror” if you’re out of the loop — are making a rare trip to Australia this August, teaming up with mathcore titans The Dillinger Escape Plan for a run of shows that promise to be more ritual than gig.

Ho99o9 (pronounced Horror) are one of the most electrifying live acts in modern music, known for unrelenting performances that blur the lines between punk, industrial, hip-hop, and hardcore. They exploded onto the scene with a now-legendary guerrilla set at Afropunk Brooklyn in 2012, ascending quickly from grimy DIY basements to the chaos of international festival stages. Their genre-defying tour history reads like a fever dream: Slipknot, Korn, Rob Zombie, Cypress Hill, The Prodigy, Ministry, Faith No More, Avenged Sevenfold, Marilyn Manson, and Mr. Bungle. Whether headlining underground raves in Berlin or detonating pits at Hellfest, Rolling Loud or Reading & Leeds, Ho99o9 thrives in pure sonic anarchy.

Despite their pedigree, Ho99o9 don’t chase fame. They aren’t feeding algorithms or mugging for social media. No TikToks, no staged beefs, no endless content cycles. Their name circulates in whispers — the kind of band you hear about from someone who saw them once and never quite recovered.
