Jorja Smith is heading back to Australia, announcing three East Coast shows for November 2027 alongside the release of her third album, ‘What Are The Odds’.

The British singer will begin the run at Brisbane’s Riverstage on November 6 before heading to Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on November 9 and Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on November 13. It will be Smith’s first Australian tour since her ‘falling or flying’ dates in October 2024, and the first opportunity for local audiences to hear material from the new record live.

Out now via FAMM / The Orchard, ‘What Are The Odds’ finds Smith digging deeper into the dance music that has always hovered around the edges of her work. UK garage, grime, 2-step, UK funky, soulful house and Afro house move through its 12 tracks, giving the album a more kinetic pulse without pushing her voice or songwriting into the background.

Longtime collaborator P2J is again central to the record. What began as a loose conversation following ‘Little Things’ developed quickly, with much of the album emerging from three studio sessions where instinct rather than overthinking appears to have been the rule.

The result places deeply personal writing inside some of Smith’s most dancefloor-minded music. ‘For Life’ looks at loving a friend through addiction, ‘Pretend’ tackles betrayal and the title track considers what it means to have grown up in public. Elsewhere, ‘This City’ incorporates a newly recorded version of Devlin’s verse from ‘London City’, while ‘Alive’ reunites Smith with Wizkid.

Recent singles ‘What’s Done Is Done’, ‘Alive’ and ‘I Lied, You Lied’ will all make their Australian live debuts on the 2027 run.

The album arrives during a significant year for Smith. 2026 marks a decade since ‘Blue Lights’ first brought her to wider attention, and she has spent the year moving between projects and some very large stages. She contributed ‘Price Of It All’ to Riz Ahmed’s Prime Video series ‘Bait’, appeared during the inaugural season of ‘Saturday Night Live UK’ and recently supported Harry Styles across six stadium dates in Mexico City.

She also co-headlines All Points East in London with Tems, with Smith and FAMM collaborating with the festival on a wider bill that reflects the musical world surrounding her new record.

Australia, meanwhile, has developed a particularly strong relationship with Smith’s music. Sydney currently sits among her three biggest cities globally for monthly Spotify listeners, while her previous visit culminated in a sold-out Sydney show following dates in Melbourne and Adelaide.

By the time she steps onto the Riverstage in November 2027, it will have been more than three years since Australian audiences last saw her. This time she arrives with an album built for movement and three considerably bigger stages waiting for her.
