Kehlani is heading back to Australia, bringing THE KEHLANI WORLD TOUR to Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in February 2027, with fellow R&B singer-songwriter Destin Conrad joining the run as special guest.
The tour arrives at a particularly good moment for Kehlani-2025 single ‘Folded’ has become one of the biggest songs of her career, climbing to number six on the Billboard Hot 100 before picking up two GRAMMY Awards, for Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song. Now, with ther self-titled fifth album Kehlani out in the world, Australian audiences will get their first chance to hear this latest chapter live.
It is another marker in a career that has been steadily expanding for more than a decade. Kehlani first emerged as part of PopLyfe before striking out alone with 2014 mixtape Cloud 19 and the following year’s You Should Be Here. The latter earned a GRAMMY nomination and provided an early indication that Kehlani’s intimate, conversational approach to R&B was finding an audience well beyond their Oakland beginnings.
Debut album SweetSexySavage followed in 2017, reaching number three on the Billboard 200, while 2020’s It Was Good Until It Wasn’t climbed one place higher. Blue Water Road arrived in 2022, followed by Crash in 2024, with each record pushing Kehlani’s songwriting into different corners of contemporary R&B, pop and soul.
‘Folded’, however, has given Kehlani another gear. Its success has carried directly into Kehlani, their self-titled fifth album, and the two GRAMMY wins add considerable weight to a tour that already promises to draw from one of modern R&B’s increasingly deep catalogues.
Joining Kehlani across all four Australian dates is Destin Conrad, whose own work sits comfortably at the intersection of R&B, soul and pop. It makes for a pairing that should give the February shows a broader scope than the usual headline-and-support arrangement.
