Following the announcement of their long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand in 2026, Mumford & Sons have added an exclusive Brisbane show to their Prizefighter Tour, responding to strong fan demand.
The newly announced date will take place on Tuesday 28 April at Brisbane Entertainment Centre, expanding the tour to five arena shows across the region. The full run now includes two nights at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 April, followed by Brisbane, Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Wednesday 29 April, and Auckland’s Spark Arena on Saturday 2 May.
Tickets for the additional Brisbane show go on sale to the general public Tuesday 27 January at 10am (AEST). An artist presale will run from Friday 23 January at 9am until Tuesday 27 January at 9am, with Mastercard cardholders receiving access across the same period. Preferred ticket access will be available from Tuesday 27 January at 10am. All times are local.
The tour arrives just weeks after the release of Mumford & Sons’ forthcoming sixth studio album, Prizefighter, due out February 20 via Gentlemen of the Road/Island Records. Co-produced and co-written with Aaron Dessner of The National at Long Pond Studio, the album features guest appearances from Hozier, Gracie Abrams, Chris Stapleton and Gigi Perez, and follows closely on the heels of 2025’s Rushmere, which debuted at number one in the UK.
Formed in West London in 2008, Mumford & Sons rose rapidly from small club shows to festival headliners, chart-toppers and Grammy winners. While their sound has evolved across releases, live performance has remained central to the band’s identity, from global arena tours to more intimate community-led shows under their Gentlemen of the Road banner.
Joining Mumford & Sons across all dates will be Folk Bitch Trio, alongside Brooklyn-based folk artist Hudson Freeman as opening act. Freeman has quickly built a reputation as a thoughtful songwriter with a strong melodic instinct, making him a natural fit for the tour’s broader folk-leaning bill.
For Australian and New Zealand audiences, the 2026 Prizefighter Tour marks the first opportunity to hear new material live alongside the songs that have anchored the band’s career to date.
