Meanjin/Brisbane is gearing up for an exciting music and arts celebration as The Tivoli and The Princess Theatre join forces to present Open Season 2024. Running from May 20th to July 27th, this annual event promises to breathe new life into the city with its diverse lineup of local and international talent, immersive performances, and community-centered experiences.

Now in its fourth year, Open Season is branching out beyond traditional venues, spreading its energy across the streets of Brisbane. Surprise pop-up locations scattered throughout the city will treat visitors to a treasure trove of musical acts, culinary delights, and visual wonders.

From the intense live performances of Texas quartet Explosions in the Sky to the soulful vibes of INIKO‘s Australian debut, attendees are in for a journey through a kaleidoscope of performances. American singer-songwriter Sky Ferreira will return to the stage, as well as genre-blending artist Yves Tumor.

Open Season isn’t just for adults; it’s a family-friendly affair too. Curated performances from Brisbane favourites Regurgitator and kid’s rock ‘n’ roll sensation Bunny Racket will ensure that everyone can join in the fun.

The festival kicks off with a free, all-ages street party celebrating First Nations culture at Blak Day Out. Attendees will be treated to performances from Emma Donovan and 3% while exploring local Indigenous retailers and food offerings at the Open Season Food Fiesta.

The Elefant Traks’ 25th Anniversary Finale is set to be a standout event, showcasing some of Australia’s most iconic hip-hop and electronic acts. In addition, attendees can look forward to the QUIVR Laneway Parties and admire street-art creations by internationally renowned artists Damien Mitchell and David Lee Pereira.

Open Season 2024 is set to be a celebration of community, creativity, and cultural diversity. Tickets for this event are available to the general public starting today at 9 am AEST on Wednesday, March 27th. For more detail, visit openseason.live.

Program Highlights:
