British-Indian singer-songwriter Prianca RA has once again pushed the boundaries of her musical journey, stepping into uncharted territory with her latest release, ‘they think i’m the devil (threats from their devil)’. Known for her unique fusion of Bollywood-inspired melodies and soulful rhythms, Prianca RA now ventures into a bold new sound, drawing inspiration from the raw energy of Arctic Monkeys, XXXTENTACION, and Nirvana.

Infused with a refreshing blend of soft-rock and soulful undertones, the new single showcases Prianca RA’s love for this genre, allowing her to explore both vulnerability and strength. The track is an introspective dive into her own battles with inner demons, painting a vivid picture of her personal FIRELAND—a continuation of the journey she began with her debut single, ‘SPACECRAFT BURNOUT’.

Embracing the teachings of Hindu philosophy, Prianca RA incorporates the concept of Karma into her work, using it as a guiding force through the tumultuous themes she explores. The single sees her playing a metaphorical Judge in the Court of Life & Death, where she weighs the actions of others and determines their fates in the realms of heaven, hell, and purgatory. This narrative is further enriched by her love for Marvel films, which inspires the track’s distorted, monstrous edge, creating a sonic experience that is as unsettling as it is captivating.

‘they think i’m the devil (threats from their devil)’offers rock sensibility and introspective lyricism, challenging listeners to embrace strength, resilience, and the belief in the Law of Karma.

Prianca RA reflects on the release, saying, “I really appreciate all the feedback I have gotten from the singles I have released over the past two-and-a-half years. I’ve been really experimental with my sounds and experimented in my lab aka my bedroom studio. I’m truly blessed to be able to do what I love and create every day. This song is very dark but provides the perfect intermission single before the album drops next year.”
