News: Siena Liggins Shares Mesmerising new Visual For ‘Sneaky Links,’ Feat. MK xyz

Pop breakout Siena Liggins shares the vibrant, mesmerising new visual for her latest single, ‘Sneaky Links,’ featuring MK xyz, a track taken from the upcoming album ‘Floozy’.

The music video showcases Siena’s unique fusion of dark punk femme and glamorous walk of shame aesthetics, captivating viewers with her distinct style.

Drawing inspiration from fashion powerhouses such as Balenciaga, Richard Quinn, and Chanel, as well as championing independent Atlanta designers like Phab Atelier, Siena seamlessly blends iconic styles to create a visually stunning experience. Her vision for ‘Sneaky Links’ aims to ensure equity among artists, shining a spotlight on the benefits of tailoring stylised and imaginative creative direction specifically for social media, where algorithms and industry standards are constantly evolving.

‘Sneaky Links’ is the first single taken from Siena’s upcoming album, titled “floozy,” which features 11 tracks that fully showcase her unique take on pop music. With varied and intricate instrumentation, the album promises to make a lasting impression on listeners, taking them on an emotional journey through Siena’s artistry.

Speaking about the single, she says: “I wanted to write a song that highlighted the ironically undignified yet widely praised culture of hooking up. And I wanted to write it from my perspective because there’s so much stigma when a woman airs toxicity even though it’s practically inescapable in our society. I love the way Matias Mora’s production interprets my feelings about situationships– tense, hollow, intuitive– and MK xyz’s energy balances them perfectly. This song is so sexy to me because it doesn’t apologize for what’s done in the dark.”

Siena Liggins finds herself at the forefront of a new global music scene that champions LGBTQ+ artists. As a pop provocateur, Siena sees her mere existence as activism within an inescapable Black, queer renaissance.

In recent years, Siena Liggins has garnered fantastic accolades, sharing the stage with notable artists such as Lizzo, Doja Cat, King Princess, Baby Tate, Tkay Maidza, and Dreya Mac, among others. Her explosive debut album, “Ms. Out Tonight,” has surpassed 3 million streams and received playlist coverage from esteemed platforms like Spotify’s New Music Friday, Fresh Finds, BBE, SALT, and the cover of Tidal’s Rising: Pop playlist.

Fans have eagerly awaited the arrival of Siena Liggins’ second full-length album, scheduled for release in the summer of ’23. The album’s journey began with the release of its first single, ‘3 Bad,’ on March 15th, and now, the much-anticipated collaboration with MK xyz, ‘Sneaky Links,’ has further heightened the excitement surrounding Siena’s upcoming project. Stay tuned for more captivating music and artistic expressions from this rising star.
