News: Stockton Calling Announces Brit Pop Legends Sleeper for 2023!

Hot on the heels of Stockton Calling announcing melodic indie outfit Circa Waves last week, the
festival gears up for another announcement.

Organisers of Stockton Calling 2023 are delighted to welcome none other than Britpop legends
Sleeper to headline The Georgian Theatre stage. The band enjoyed huge critical and commercial
success in the mid-90s: achieving eight top 40 singles across three Top 10 albums with well over a
million sales.

The band purposely walked away from the limelight in 1998 returning in 2017 to high acclaim,
releasing two albums, placing the band back into the UK top 20 album charts.

Chris Cobain, one of the festival organisers from Tees Music Alliance said about the
announcement:

“We’re very excited to have Sleeper headline The Georgian Theatre stage at next years’ festival.
Not only have they got a back catalogue of hits to please the crowd but their most recent album
‘This is Tomorrow’ is brilliant as well”

Tickets for the festival, which takes place every Easter Saturday, are now on sale. Stockton Calling
regularly sells out and the 2022 event enjoyed a record attendance following its successful return
after an enforced 2-year gap.

Starts: 12pm | Sat 8 April 2023

Age Restriction: 14+ event. 14’s – 17’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Ticket Price: £35 available here
