News: Swedish Singer Vargen Unveils Live Studio Session as Teaser for Upcoming Album


In anticipation of his self-titled album dropping on November 10th, Swedish singer Vargen treats fans to a captivating studio session previewing the project’s live experience. Backed by a full band, Vargen delivers poignant soundscapes with gritty instrumentation, dynamic vocals, and wistful lyricism, exploring themes of characters, dreams, and love. The 40-minute video features original compositions and Swedish translations of classics by Mark Lanegan, Duke Garwood, and Bob Dylan, made possible with support from the Swedish Arts Council, Region Halland, and Varbergs kommun.

Vargen shares his inspiration, saying, “I wanted to make a storytelling album based on characters, dreams, and loves—both made-up and non-fictional.”

Known for his emotional depth, Vargen has evolved from interpreting Bob Dylan to crafting his own original works. With singles like ‘Mindy Morning’ and ‘The Bitch In Me,’ the upcoming album promises a rich showcase of Vargen’s versatile artistry.

Having gained recognition for his debut album in 2017 and subsequent Bob Dylan translations, Vargen’s self-titled album is set to mark a significant milestone in his musical journey. The studio session provides an enticing glimpse into what promises to be a resonant force in the music scene.
