Brazilian-born, London-based singer-songwriter Thiago Trosso teases the upcoming album Magnet with the new single ‘Future’s Looking Bright’.
The forthcoming debut solo album Magnet (out June 2026) promises a blend of folk with indie-rock and country undertones, continuing on from the growth of the previous two full length releases.
Opening with a slick, plucked guitar arpeggio, ‘Future’s Looking Bright’ wastes no time establishing its warm tone, balancing melancholy and sunny, whimsical vibrancy. The track gently unfurls, blending indie rock textures with alt-folk sensibilities, creating a sonic landscape that feels both intimate and expansive. What begins as a restrained, almost meditative introduction soon evolves into something far more anthemic, layered with rich guitar strikes, swelling instrumentation, and a driving rhythm section that propels the song toward a cathartic crescendo.
At its core, the single thrives on contrast. Melodic hooks draw listeners in, while the gradual build, from understated beginnings to roaring distortions and pounding backbeats, mirrors the emotional journey at the heart of the song. It’s a dynamic arc that reflects both vulnerability and resilience, culminating in a powerful release that feels earned rather than forced.
Lyrically, Trosso leans into themes of liberation and renewal. The track captures the moment of breaking free from a draining past and embracing the unknown with renewed energy. Speaking about the release, he explains: “‘Future’s Looking Bright’ explores the exciting feeling of being free from a toxic relationship and having almost infinite possibilities ahead without anyone holding you back and consuming your energy.”
