Seyi Akinlade, known professionally as UA.X, is embracing a new chapter in his creative journey with the release of his debut album, Love & Hustle. Renowned in Nigeria and beyond for his work behind the camera, UA.X has captured the essence of artists like Tems, Lojay, and Rema through photography and music video direction. Now, he steps into the music industry with an album that melds Afrobeats and R&B into a warm, reflective collection that explores the dual themes of love and ambition.

Having been a fixture in the Nigerian art scene for years, UA.X has been on a two-year journey of musical self-discovery, crafting a sound that’s as visually evocative as his previous work. Love & Hustle defines his sonic signature: smooth melodies, laid-back R&B tempos, and vocals that feel both soothing and intimate. A nine-track release with a brisk runtime of just 21 minutes, the album doesn’t waste a moment, guiding listeners through UA.X’s interpretation of romance, resilience, and the ever-present hustle.

With themes that span the many facets of love—from its tender highs to its more vulnerable, complex lows—the album balances these narratives with tracks that speak to the grind required to make it in the creative world. “I wanted this album to feel like an honest reflection of my journey, the balance between passion and persistence,” UA.X shares.

Love & Hustle manages to achieve this balance, with production that gives each track a dreamy, cinematic quality. TMXO helms the project as executive producer, alongside a top-notch lineup that includes Nonso Amadi, Chillz, Lexi, Illithagreat, and UA.X himself, all contributing to a cohesive yet rich soundscape.

UA.X’s storytelling shines as he navigates the ups and downs of relationships with songwriting that feels authentic and relatable, offering a unique view of romance and hustle in today’s world. Each song, from love-laden anthems to introspective ballads, is crafted with precision, embodying a narrative that feels lived-in and sincere.
