News: UK legends The Charlatans announce ‘A Head Full Of Ideas, 32nd Anniversary ‘Best Of’ Australian/New Zealand Tour’.


One of the best and most enduring indie bands out of the UK, The Charlatans have released some of the most epic albums over thirty years that has seen tragedy and triumph, while consistently producing an immense quality of material including songs such as ‘The Only One I Know’, ‘Jesus Hairdo’, ‘Sproston Green’, ‘Then’, ‘Weirdo’, ‘Can’t Get Out of Bed’, ‘One to Another’, ‘North Country Boy’, ‘How High’, ‘Plastic Machinery’, ‘Love is the Key’, ‘Just Thinkin’ Things Over’, ‘Blackened Blue Eyes’, and ‘I Never Want an Easy Life’. They are one of the few survivors from the Madchester era which is a testament to their ever burgeoning creativity.

The band has just announced it will be touring its ‘Head Full of Ideas 32nd Anniversary ‘Best of’ tour downunder to Australia and New Zealand in October (a tour that was originally embarked upon in the northern hemisphere to celebrate their 30 year anniversary two years ago). To mark their 30 years anniversary, the band released ‘A Head of Ideas’ which can be downloaded/streamed here.

During COVID (iand indeed continuing to this day), singer Tim Burgess hosted the now famous album listening parties on Twitter which culminated in a best-selling book, ‘The Listening Party’ and involved a huge range of classic albums and artists from Oasis to Iron Maiden and Kylie Minogue to Paul McCartney.
