We have closely followed the storied career of the ethereal Cloud Tangle for a while now and we are ever so honoured to premiere the beautiful new single ‘Merry-Go-Round’. The title was inspired by John Lennon’s ‘Watching the Wheels’ lyrics, as well as a personal love for theme parks and there is a reflection of this within the very structure of the track.
Underpinned by a musical carousel, the track emits waves of delicate tendrils of sound swirling around Amber Ramsay’s velvet vocals, yearning and deliciously melancholic.
The circular music, whirling like the eponymous merry-go-round, captures the themes of the passage of time, the repetition, the anxieties of uncertainty:

I get on, hold my hand
We go round and round again
Spinning around
I get on, hold my hand
There’s no getting off my friend
Ride with me through life’s uncertainty
Circling eternally
