We’re delighted here at Backseat Mafia to premiere the new collaboration between Vietnamese multimedia artist Fazo, aka DEATHDEATHDEATH alongside singer, performance artist and certified speaker KMT. It’s out today (December 29th) via Numavi Records.
It’s experimental trip-hop, using Fazo’s dark sound inventions and laying down this sprawling backing that is descriptively alien sounding despite its warm and tender nature, as if it keeps you at arms length, purposely. Over the top KMTs half spoken, half sung vocals come in and out of focus, and have this urgent but otherworldly sound.
