Taken from their imminent EP Everything Is, Singapore alt-indie trio Coming Up Roses hsve just revealed a new single and video called ’Would You Ever’ and were delighted to be able to premiere it right here on Backseat Mafia today.
Of the new single, the band say, “‘Would You Ever’ is about leaving the life that you currently live to pursue the life that you’ve always wanted, despite the things that you’ve gone through.” This is perhaps fitting as the band now seek to take a leap of faith by leaving their home of Singapore to pursue a music career abroad in the UK.
If chiming guitars, heartstopping indie melodies and a good dose of melancholy are your bag, then you need ’Would You Ever’ in your life. It wavers over alt-rock here and there, as well as a dreamy shoegaze like guitar solo, if you needed any more persuasion.
