Boorloo/Perth alternative artist Dawson has built up a strong following for his brand of smooth indie pop, and we are very honoured to premiere his new single ‘maybe someday’.
‘maybe someday’ flows with an easy sparkle over the most velvet of vocals, filled with yearning and a satisfying melancholy. The mix of electric and acoustic instrumentation adds a filigree of pure gold and the result is something that sparkles like the sunlight over a rolling sea off the Western Australian coast.
Dawson says of the track:
This song is about finding it hard to let go of something that you’re not ready to let go of. You question everything, you overthink everything, you wonder if you could’ve changed anything but at the end of the day there’s nothing you can do. All you can do is hope that maybe someday things will be different
