Bikini Kill return to the road in 2026 with a North American fall tour that begins at the Bumbershoot Festival on September 5. From there, the run expands across the continent with a rotating cast of support acts that speaks to the band’s lasting reach across punk and beyond.
Joining across dates are Alice Bag, Lambrini Girls, Ganser, Kilynn Lunsford and The Intima. The lineup brings together artists working in different corners of the scene, reflecting how widely Bikini Kill’s influence continues to travel. Ahead of the tour, the band will also headline Mosswood Meltdown on July 19, a festival whose ethos closely mirrors the community-driven spirit Bikini Kill helped shape.
Since regrouping in 2019 for their first full shows since 1997, the band have played sold-out venues worldwide. The response has remained consistent, with audiences continuing to engage with both the music and its underlying ideas. That influence can be traced through artists such as Miley Cyrus and Olivia Rodrigo, while their songs continue to feature across film and television.
Kathleen Hanna remains a central figure, her presence on stage matched by the reach of her memoir Rebel Girl: My Life As A Feminist Punk, which introduced her story to a new readership. She is joined by Tobi Vail and Kathi Wilcox, with Sara Landeau completing the current lineup.
Backseat Mafia covered Bikini Kill’s performance at the Sydney Opera House in 2023, where the band delivered a set that connected immediately with the room. The show underscored how their work continues to resonate in a live setting, reaching audiences well beyond its original context.
This tour continues that momentum, placing Bikini Kill alongside artists shaped by their legacy while reaffirming their place within the current landscape.
