EP Review: Millsart – Whatever The Case

Millsart aka Jeff Mills:

“Suggestiveness and the artistry of it is a realm of magic we mistakenly underestimate.
If wielded effectively, it’s possible to shift opinions and ideas to an unfathomable level.
Quickly, not knowing becomes not caring and not caring becomes anyone’s right to
justify not knowing. But beyond the razzmatazz and blinding lights always lies the truth- whatever the case”.

Verdict: We enter this latest installment from Mr Mills through a hazy, swirling sonic experience (Blow It Off) that feels more like a collage of sound rather than a straight forward arrangement, and we shall also exit as such, through a Maze of sound (The Maze). At the center of it all we are treated to a wonderful percussive jam (It’s) and a beautifully layered techno fever dream that is Aquarius. Another prime example that Jeff Mills has transcended the boundaries of what is considered just music and created art through its medium.

This is Axis Expressionist Series Part 9. All tracks new & exclusive by Jeff Mills.

TrackList:

/ A1 Blow It Off (What Tongue You Speak?)

/ A2 It’s

/ B1 Aquarius

/ B2 The Maze
