See: Bryde releases new video for Desire, plus UK tour dates

The human need for instant gratification is the notion that Welsh singer-songwriter Bryde was focusing in on when she wrote her latest single Desire, which drops ahead of her debut album later in the spring. It a jagged melody at the starts that darts and swoons over the accompanyment until its bursts into the chorus, and you are instantly swept away with it, such is its beauty

She’s released a new Rhys Davies directed video to accompany the song, saying it was inspired “by the symbolism of certain scenes in the movie Under the Skin where the alien’s victims walk of their own free will into a thick dark oil and to their demise.”

“When writing the line “smother everything” I was actually imagining these temptations as a kind of veil that can leave us blind to what’s right and stuck in a cycle. We’re drawn to sugar coated things that underneath are bad for us. It’s about desires as things or people we want and can’t often resist despite knowing they will bring us nothing but regret.”

Check it out, here

She’s also about to embark on a mammoth UK tour. Full details below.
