See: Evil Blizzard Return with new video ‘Hello’, plus UK tour dates

Evil Blizzard have announced the release of their third, album ‘The Worst Show On Earth’.

Returning with a new video for the album’s opening track ‘Hello’, bassist Filthydirty explains “we’ve been away for a couple of years, and we know you have missed us, so this is just us kicking in your back door, eating your Pot Noodles and nicking your silverware. It’s a song about people not knowing who they are anymore. It’s easy to lose track these days…”

Heavy, grinding and yet commercially viable, this new album sees the band truly shake off the ‘gimmick’ tag of the past, depsite still having four bass players, wearing masks and having made up names.

‘Hello’ is actually a superb track. Epic post punk and over delayed vocals come together perfectly to create a truly great song. The musicianship on this is something that is very much underplayed, sadly losing out to a pantomime image.

Produced by Richard McNamara from Embrace, the new album ‘is more extreme’ says bassist Filthydirty. ‘The long songs are longer; the fast ones faster. We went in the studio without a clue what it would sound like and the songs, all pretty much recorded in one take, formed themselves as we were playing. We had 2 or 3 songs that we’ve been playing live but the others were completely flying by the seat of our pants and that energy and tension has recorded well.
The band are also doing a string of live dates. Check out the details below.
