Released on the 4th of September ‘What The World Needs Now…’ is self-funded by PiL and will be released on PiL’s own label ‘PiL Official’ via Cargo UK Distribution. Recorded last year at Steve Winwood’s Wincraft studio in the Cotswolds’, ‘What The World Needs Now’ is PiL’s tenth long player. Lead track ‘Double Trouble’ will be released on 21st August. The 10” vinyl version will be backed by ‘Bettie Page’ and also come with additional non-album bonus track ‘Turkey Tits’.
PiL’s current line up features, the ever present John Lydon, Lu Edmonds, who has been with PiL since 1986 and has also played with The Damned. Bruce Smith from the Pop Group on drums, and Scott Firth, who’s played alongside Steve Winwood, John Martyn and Elvis Costello.
