The third single to be taken from The Waterboys forthcoming 15th studio album All Souls Hill, out on May 6th via Cooking Vinyl, is ’Here We Go Again’, and the band have just revealed a psychedelic video to accompany the track.
Of the track, singer Mike Scott says “It’s the idea we’re living through a communal Groundhog Day. We’re all looking at the news headlines, but nobody seems to learn the lessons,” Mike Scott said of the track. “As a culture we keep making the same mistakes. It’s a wry look at humans not being so smart – and yet I have good fun being one.”
Firmly camping itself in the anthem column, its enveloping melodies propped up with this indie rock backing, with a nod to soul here and a touch of warped psychedelia there. all in all, an absolute winner.
