Brenso popped up last year with their fantastic debut EP Demo (read our review here) which blew us away here at Backseat Mafia. The band have returned with another EP and single ‘Sugar Cane’ taken from the new EP
About the single the band comments:
“Sugar cane is Brenso’s first single, part of our forthcoming EP “Like a Cradle”. The title reminds one of
Sonic Youth’s songs and talks about how puzzled look our faces when they are reflected on a black screen.”
A raging slice of punk built on thunderous guitars and explosive drums. With a demanding vocal performance from Serena Malossi, the track grabs hold giving you a good shake till the abrupt ending. Andrei Galliè does a great job of destroying his drum kit whilst giving the track the punch and solid backbone that allows guitarists Francesco Sperti and Luri Panzacchi to tear it up.
