My Boy is the latest single released by Car Seat Headrest before the re-release of their album Twin Fantasy on the 16th February – this Friday.

It’s the first track on the album so it gives you a glimpse into how it’s going to sound with all the extra development the whole album has undergone.

It starts out quiet with the bass and percussion setting the pace, teasing the song into an escalation of crashing cymbals against powerful guitars, and the phenomenal build-up of Will Toledo’s raw vocals. “My boy we don’t see each other much, it’ll take some time, but somewhere down the line, we won’t be alone.”

It’s a great little track at 2 minutes and 53 seconds, giving a growing sense of intensity and passion right up to the end.

Check it out below and see what you think of their new sound.
