Track: Girl From Winter Jargon – Without Apology

Girl From Winter Jargon is an alternative act from County Durham, who writes and creates mini epic compositions, drawing influences from Proto-grunge, Dark-cabaret and Neoclassical genres.

Without Apology was written, performed and recorded at home using a variety of instruments; vocals, guitar, bass and clarinet. The track was mixed & mastered by Rob Irish who later described Without Apology as a “labyrinthine cabaret which she wrote and painstakingly recorded every part for herself.”

An ear grabbing track that never seems to sit in one place. The virtuosic guitar jumps about as the clarinet weaves in and out as the vocals, that go from deep boom to high ethereal falsetto, sit on top riding the waves of guitar and clarinet. The whole package together goes to creating a wonderful piece of original music that is hard to pin down but is fantastic in every way. And not a drum in sight.
