Los Angeles Girlpool – Harmony Trividad and Cleo Tucker, have just released a new track, Picturesong, featuring Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes contributing keys, guitars, backing vocals and mixing. Its this slow burner, the girls voices perfectly matched as they lay smooth melodies and harmonies down over gently picked guitars and keyboards, a la Lambchop, before things burst into life and Picturesong has it moment of shoegaze before its stripped back close.
Of the track the band say “picturesong is a word invented to explore what we create in each other when we want to feel deep love because of loneliness or otherwise, and brings into question the reality and delusion of the things we feel.”
