The magnificent Meanjin/Brisbane trio Fingerless are back after a long absence with their new single ‘Grotesque’ and it is a spectacular anthem that soars like an eagle. The band has always managed to create a majestic sound even though their style and genre is difficult to pin down. ‘Grotesque’ mixes a little psychedelia with indie pop, delivering something that is quite orchestral and expansive.

The outro is spine chilling as singer Marc Cheeseman’s vocal soar with an ethereal beauty. This is a band that just incrementally gets better and it is quite frankly criminal they don’t get the exposure they deserve.

The track comes with an enigmatic monochrome video:

‘Grotesque’ is nothing like the title, and is out now through the illustrious and beloved 4000 Records and is available here and through the link below.

Fingerless are:
Marc Cheeseman – vocals, guitar, percussion, synth
Warwick Epiha – bass, backing vocals
Jonny Pickvance – drums, percussion, backing vocals

Previous Premiere: It's not funny - COMEDY's debut single 'L.A. Perfume' is a cathartic blast of swaggering attitude.
