News: Polaris Curate Life’s A Beach Ahead of Linkin Park Tour – Set Times Have Arrived

Australian metalcore outfit Polaris are set to step slightly off the usual touring circuit next month with Life’s A Beach, a one-day, band-curated event taking over St Kilda’s Riviera Beach Club. The show arrives just weeks before Polaris head back out on the road as main support on Linkin Park’s Australian headline tour in March.

Curated and headlined by Polaris themselves, Life’s A Beach brings together a mixed bill of Australian and international heavy acts, including We Came As Romans, Thy Art Is Murder, Ocean Sleeper, Caskets, Terminal Sleep, Reliqa and Headwreck. Rather than a standard touring stop, the event reframes heavy music within an outdoor, beachside setting, marking a change of pace from enclosed rooms and late-night load-outs.

For Polaris, the event reflects a period of sustained activity. Since the release of Fatalism in 2023, the band have remained a constant presence on both Australian and international stages, balancing headline tours with major festival appearances and high-profile support slots overseas. Their recent documentary FOREVER captured a particularly significant chapter, documenting both their largest hometown show to date and a period of reflection following the loss of guitarist Ryan Siew.

The broader lineup reflects a cross-section of contemporary heavy music. We Came As Romans return with material from their recent album All Is Beautiful…Because We’re Doomed, while Thy Art Is Murder continue to carry Australian extreme metal into larger international spaces. Acts like Ocean Sleeper, Terminal Sleep, Reliqa and Headwreck represent a younger generation shaping the sound locally, while Caskets bring a UK perspective grounded in post-hardcore and modern metal.

Life’s A Beach lands as a transitional moment: a standalone summer event before Polaris shift gears again for a packed 2026 schedule that includes international touring and festival appearances. For fans, it offers a rare chance to see a heavy lineup framed by daylight, open air and a setting rarely associated with breakdowns and blast beats.
