Track: Pigs X 7 release charity single featuring The Lovely Eggs

Pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs have teamed up with The Lovely Eggs to record the Donna Summer classic ‘hot Stuff’. All income made from this single is to help raise money for Pop Recs in memory of Dave Harper, who was the driving force and ambassador for the multi-purpose arts and culture hub in Sunderland ran by the band Frankie & The Heartstrings

Adam from Pigs X 7 comments:

“Dave was a hero to a lot of people and rightly so, his contributions to music in the north east were enormous. Pop Recs is such an important place to the area and a legacy that needs and deserves a great deal of support.”

Adam continues:

“When we’re writing we always begin with a single riff, it seems to us that Hot Stuff began life the same way. It’s an untouchable song in a lot of ways but well, here we are….and The Lovely Eggs are just as their name suggests. So easy to work with to boot. They were exactly what we needed.”

A messy sludge filled take on the disco classic that the guys have been faithful to when recreating. The group singing on the simple two word title is begging for a live crowd to scream back as the song descends in to a chaotic sludgy mess. Proof that a great song can be battered and drowned in fuzz but still sound amazing.
