Track: Sailor Hunter – Ashes

Mathias Coulouri

Swedish melodic death metal band Sailor Hunter are set to release a new EP ‘Evolution’ on May 24th 2024 via Finnish Inverse Records. Featuring a new lineup, with the addition of Sebastian Fingal, along with Al Rinald on guitar, Kutte Gashi on drums, Filip Jovanov on bass, the band have also shared the video for the first single ‘Ashes’.

Sebastian Fingal comments:

“The song is about the triumph over adversity and the ability to rebuild after destruction and hardship. It was the first song that we did together with me as a new singer. The song has a lot of energy and I felt that the lyrics needed to be epic and empowering.”

A dark tinged grooved up beast chock-full of epic riffing, menacing growling and an anthemic chorus. Not many do melodic death metal quite this good, but Sailor Hunter absolutely nails it, and with Fingal on vocal duties, there is no stopping them.
