YOU’VE got a musical vision, a wish to create, that keeps you going through the grind of the everyday but which you can’t ever quite shift off the back burner?

Focus on it, bend your will to it, make it happen: that’s a lesson we can all take from Coventry’s Callum Pickard, the man behind Tarragon. he’s spent the past four years working every hour god sends as a courier in order to finance his musical vision, using time out of the saddle to approach possible dream collaborators – with an amazing response.

His forthcoming 11-track album sees contributions from Robbie Bennett and Dave Hartley, from The War On Drugs; Taylor Swift and Bon Iver drummer, JT Bates; the 1975’s saxophonist, John Waugh, more. In fact, this first single reveal, “Follow The Sign”, which you can hear below, features tenor sax from no less than Supertramp’s John Helliwell.

Callum says of the song: “Most of my songs are borne from personal experience and ‘Follow the Sign’ is no exception.

“My sister was diagnosed with a life-limiting illness and she has been so strong and determined in the face of it, never letting it get her down. She truly is an inspiration to me.”

“Follow The Sign” twines a subtle Americana with synthy glimmer, shining guitar and a smooth harmonic lushness; at only 25, there’s a hell of a lot more we can expect from Tarragon.
