Following their 2023 debut Prelude to Ecstasy, which topped the UK charts and introduced them as one of the most talked-about new acts in recent memory, the London five-piece entered the studio earlier this year with producer Markus Dravs, known for his work with Florence & The Machine, Björk, and Wolf Alice. The result is a record that leans into experimentation and band cohesion, built on time spent touring extensively across the UK, Europe, and beyond.

Rather than chasing the momentum of their commercial and critical breakthrough, From The Pyre presents a group more focused on craft than pressure. The sessions reflect a band still enjoying the process, and the new material hints at growth without abandoning the theatrical, baroque pop sensibilities that brought them attention in the first place.

Having recently picked up two BRIT Awards—including Breakthrough Artist—and selling out three nights at London’s Eventim Apollo, The Last Dinner Party continue to operate as one of the more visible new bands from the UK’s current wave. The early signs from From The Pyre suggest that visibility isn’t fading any time soon.
