From the creative brain of J.P Riggall, Teesside’s Weathership is his project created with four other musicians. With three singles already released, ‘The Swimmer’ is the bands fourth track and first single of 2024.
Gorgeous seeping melodies, gritty guitars and soothing harmonies give this track a bite that many lack helped by some unique beat-keeping percussion. Dominated by a commanding vocal performance and infectious guitar hooks, it is solemn and unassuming, but the true magic happens once it is under your skin. A couple of spins is all it takes.
