Jacob Slater, under the name Wunderhorse has returned with new single ‘Leader of the Pack’, which is taken from his debut album ‘Cub’ due 16th September via Communion Records. The track is released alongside a lyric video, featuring footage from Wunderhorse’ recent performances at Dublin, Manchester & Leeds
“Leader of the Pack is a song about betrayal,” Jacob says of the track. ‘About not being able to escape the thing that eats away at you, it’s a song written as a means of getting even.”
A cool indie rock riff and an even more superb vocal delivery from Slater’s gruff voice which is the perfect accompaniment to the bluesy rock. It’s more of a loose strutting rock track than the brooding of the previous single ‘Butterflies’. But both tracks demonstrate Slater’s knack for writing catchy songs.
