Indie-rock artist Rhett Repko is back with his latest single ‘Don’t Delay’, a bright and dance-ready anthem that blends indie tendencies with disco undertones to capture a sound packs nu-wave and 80s influences. Known for his hook-driven songwriting and magnetic stage presence, Repko continues to carve out his place as one of indie music’s rising names.

With more than six million streams across his catalog, Repko has already built an impressive track record of radio and streaming success. But with ‘Don’t Delay’, the Maryland-born artist leans into a new side of his artistry—swapping roaring guitars for disco-tinged synths, alt-pop grooves, and sticky choruses designed for the dancefloor.

The single, written about the pursuit of romance, highlights Repko’s creative versatility. “When writing ‘Don’t Delay’, I didn’t want to go for a typical Rhett rock song. I pictured it within a very lively concert atmosphere,” he explains. “I came up with the pre-choruses and chorus first while strumming on my Fender Stratocaster. Being inspired by the fun and carefree nature of the song, I decided to lean into my inspiration of Prince and have a more shouty-styled verse melody. In one take, I just kinda shouted words on and off of the beat to make it more unpredictable but alive sounding.”

The release is paired with a new music video directed by Carter Lou, a longtime collaborator who previously worked with Repko. While the original concept was for a sunny beach setting, the final cut takes a darker, psychedelic approach, mixing performance footage with shots of Repko driving through town. “It’s a pretty straightforward performance video, but it’s always good to see the band playing the song—and something you can dance along with,” Repko says.

Repko’s career to date has been defined by a DIY spirit and a knack for big hooks. His music has landed five Top 100 college radio hits, a #1 single on the NACC Chart, and multiple placements on the BDS Triple A Chart. He has also earned support from over 200 radio stations nationwide, alongside placements in shows on MTV, Netflix, and TLC.

First inspired by The Beatles and Nirvana, Repko dove into music as a teenager before earning his degree in the subject and touring with his first band across the U.S. Since embarking on his solo career, he has collaborated with industry heavyweights including 18-time Grammy winner James Sanger (Madonna, U2), Grammy-winning engineer Chris Gehringer, and now Grammy-nominated, Diamond-certified producer Mark Needham (The Killers, Imagine Dragons), who produced ‘Don’t Delay.’
