Voiid played Waywards, Sydney last night as part of the launch tour for their new single ‘Lexapro’. They played to a capacity and enthusiastic crowd. Not only are Voiid an incredible act – they absolutely slay live, but they are also inspiring young women to start their own bands (support act Boycott spoke about how they were massive fans of Voiid) and to be aware of their rights.
Lexapro is a huge rant about coming to terms with the realisation of what place women hold in the world, struggling with the intricacies of your mental health and the frustration that comes with wanting to open up but fearing if people will listen. It’s about feeling forever unheard, forever less than, forever inadequate”.
