Bestial Mouths, led by the haunting vocals and powerful figure of Lynette Cerezo, embark on a transformative journey with the release of their new nine-track album, ‘R.O.T.T. (inmyskin).’

Known as the voice and spirit of Bestial Mouths has captivated audiences worldwide with enthralling performances that transport them to deeply emotional voidic visions. With ‘R.O.T.T. (inmyskin),’ the project enters a new cycle, delving into darkwave oddities and industrial experiments while infusing techno danceability into their sonic landscape.

The album explores the lush palettes of darkwave, industrial, post-punk, and dread pop, dissecting the rawness of their previous works to reveal a polished, shining bone. From the razor-sharp synthetic sadness of ‘THE KNIFE’ to the searing slow-burner ‘VAST MURMUR,’ Cerezo’s vocals soar like an enraged demon, crafting auditory magic and exaltations as beautiful as they are pain-soaked in genetic memory.

The anthemic ‘Hex (The Spell)’ exhorting bodily sovereignty challenges the very idea of anthemization, while ‘SLITSKIN’ poses the question of what transpires when a person outgrows their body yet remains imprisoned within it. ‘ROAD OF THOUSAND TEARS’ tests one’s ability to persevere through all hardships, creating a sound born from an endless cycle of repetition and pattern, akin to tunnelling hopes into your skin only to become stuck in the same patterns.

‘R.O.T.T. (inmyskin)’ is described by Bestial Mouths as a resonant piece of trauma pop that yearns for the dance floor, drawing listeners into an emotional vortex of shared ekstasis, as accessible as death, while always teetering between the light and the darkness of reality.

Speaking about the album, Bestial Mouths shared, “Our new record on NGP bridges the experimentalism and charged industrialism of RESURRECTEDINBLACK with the remixed technoir of THOUSANDNEEDLES: a culmination of being fed naught but want and envy, of feeling things crumble even as you build them, and the unceasing desire to come together and dance. This album is our internal release toward that end.”
