Only days after his 69th birthday and the release of Blackstar, David Bowie has passed away.
Following an 18 month battle with cancer, David passed away peacefully on January the 10th. A statement from his Facebook page confirming the very sad news reads “David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief.”
Like many others around the world, I’m finding it hard to put into words what this all means. He will leave a massive hole in peoples lives, but he will also leave the greatest most interesting, influential legacies that reach further than just his music.
