Ed Sheeran will return to Australia and New Zealand in early 2026 for a run of stadium shows, as part of his newly announced Loop Tour. The tour will coincide with the release of his upcoming album Play, due out 12 September via Asylum/Atlantic.

The tour will take in major venues across Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch—his first performance there in over a decade—before heading to stadiums in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. The shows will feature a mix of new material, career-spanning hits, and the loop pedal performances that have become a hallmark of his live setup.

Play marks a new chapter for Sheeran, bringing together global influences and collaborations across Indian, Persian, and Irish folk traditions. Lead singles “Azizam” (already certified Gold in Australia), “Sapphire” and “Old Phone” hint at a more eclectic, rhythm-driven approach. The album’s production features international musicians and reflects Sheeran’s recent travels and expanding musical palette.

The tour follows Sheeran’s record-breaking 2023 visit, where he played to 200,000 people across two nights at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. To date, he has sold over 2.5 million tickets across Australia and New Zealand, reinforcing his ongoing connection to audiences across the region.
