News: Fontaines D.C., Jane Remover and Tiffany Day announce Laneway 2027 sideshows

Laneway Festival 2027 has barely revealed its lineup and the sideshows are already arriving, with Fontaines D.C., Jane Remover and Tiffany Day locking in additional Australian dates for February.

Fontaines D.C. lead the first wave with two arena shows, taking over Perth’s RAC Arena on Tuesday, February 9 and Adelaide’s AEC Arena on Wednesday, February 17. The dates will be the Dublin band’s only standalone Australian performances outside Laneway Festival, with fellow Irish outfit Gurriers along for both shows.

The tour arrives as Fontaines D.C. prepare to release fifth album Dopamine Chamber on October 16 via XL Recordings. Produced by James Ford and led by Marianne, the record follows 2024’s Romance and continues a run that has seen the band move increasingly far from the post-punk shorthand that followed them through their early years.

From Dogrel and A Hero’s Death through Skinty Fia and Romance, Fontaines D.C. have made a habit of shifting the parameters with each record. By the time they arrive in Australia, they will also have a 20-date European and UK arena tour behind them, their biggest headline run yet.

Jane Remover is also breaking away from the Laneway circuit for headline shows at Perth’s The Rechabite on Wednesday, February 10 and Adelaide’s The Gov on Thursday, February 18.

The producer and songwriter has spent the past five years scrambling the boundaries between rap, electronic music, glitch and bedroom pop, becoming one of the more distinctive artists to emerge from online music culture. Their return follows appearances at Coachella, Roskilde and Reading alongside a sold-out North American tour, with the Australian dates forming part of the Live Exhibit Tour.

Tiffany Day completes the first sideshow announcement with an Australian debut at The Rechabite in Perth on Tuesday, February 16. The self-produced hyperpop artist arrives behind HALO, which reached number one on the Apple Music Electronic chart and pushes Day’s collision of maximalist electronic production and intensely personal songwriting further into view.

All three artists will also appear at Laneway Festival 2027, making these smaller standalone dates an alternative for anyone wanting to catch them away from the festival stages.
