Genesis Owusu has never been interested in staying within the lines. Across three albums, the Ghanaian-Australian artist has built one of the most distinctive catalogues in contemporary music, pulling together punk, hip hop, funk, soul and experimental electronics into something that feels entirely his own. Now, fresh from the release of his third studio album REDSTAR WU & THE WORLDWIDE SCOURGE (OURNESS), Owusu has announced an extensive run of UK and European tour dates for November and December 2026.

The new dates arrive as REDSTAR WU & THE WORLDWIDE SCOURGE (OURNESS) continues to attract international praise. Featuring appearances from Duckwrth and Ladyhawke, the 14-track record is arguably Owusu’s most ambitious work to date, balancing personal introspection with broader questions of community, resistance and identity. Backseat Mafia recently reviewed the album favourably, praising its willingness to challenge expectations while continuing the restless artistic evolution that has defined Owusu’s career.

His live reputation has grown alongside his increasingly adventurous recorded output. Over the last several years, Owusu has transformed from one of Australia’s most exciting emerging artists into a genuinely international force. Backseat Mafia recently caught Genesis Owusu at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, where his ability to move seamlessly between explosive energy and thoughtful introspection underlined why he has become such a compelling live performer. He has supported acts including Tame Impala, Paramore and IDLES, appeared at major festivals such as Lollapalooza, Primavera Sound, Austin City Limits and Boston Calling, and delivered headline performances in some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including a sold-out Sydney Opera House Concert Hall performance alongside the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

The newly announced tour will take Owusu through Berlin, Paris, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin. For audiences across Europe and the UK, the dates offer an opportunity to experience one of modern music’s most inventive performers in a live environment where his genre-defying vision truly comes alive.

The announcement also follows the release of a short documentary filmed during Owusu’s first return to Ghana since childhood. The film offers additional context to an artist whose work has consistently explored questions of heritage, belonging and cultural identity while refusing to settle into simple narratives.

From the breakthrough brilliance of Smiling With No Teeth to the shape-shifting ambition of STRUGGLER and now REDSTAR WU & THE WORLDWIDE SCOURGE (OURNESS), Genesis Owusu continues to push his music into unexpected territory. The forthcoming UK and European tour is the latest chapter in a career that remains impossible to predict and increasingly difficult to ignore.
