Ahead of their debut album release in May, HIMALAYAS today released another furious anthem-in-waiting, Leave This Place. Recorded at Mwnci Studios in West Wales with Steff Pringle, the track was mixed by GRAMMY-Award winning producer, Dave Sardy (Royal Blood, Josh Homme, Rage Against The Machine). Led by guitarist Mike Griffiths’ soaring riff, the song once again showcases frontman Joe Williams’ snarling vocals. Leave This Place will no doubt be heard being shouted back to the band, at a raucous live show soon.

Joe has explained of the writing process, “Leave This Place is a song about being stuck in a place that you never wanted to be. You try your best to get out but always find yourself right back where you started. This song was written towards the tail end of a lockdown, and I think it was a huge piece in the puzzle of our debut album. Even before I sent the demo to the rest of the band, I knew it would translate to everyone straight away. Once we started playing it together, we knew then that it had to make the album!”

The Cardiff-based quartet have just been added to the In It Together festival line up! They will perform alongside Jake Bugg, Twin Atlantic, Dream State and more on Friday 26th May, at Old Park Farm in Wales. Buy tickets here. HIMALAYAS recently wrapped a tour supporting LA rockers, Dirty Honey on their SOLD OUT UK tour. They played venues in Norwich, Milton Keynes, London, Manchester, Nottingham, Sheffield, Cardiff and Southampton. Last year saw the quartet head out on a UK headline tour, which included sold out shows; one being their raucous hometown gig at Buffalo in Cardiff.

HIMALAYAS kicked off 2023 with the highly anticipated announcement of their debut album release. From Hell To Here will be released via Nettwerk on 5th May, and will feature previously released singles including album title track From Hell To Here, Into The Trap, Out Of The Dark And Into The Light and Alone, plus several unheard songs. From Hell To Here can be pre-saved here.

HIMALAYAS have garnered brilliant support across radio, from the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Nels Hylton, Daniel P Carter and Alyx Holcombe, on Kerrang! Radio, and also local and student radio stations across the board. The band have also racked up 46 million+ streams across Spotify alone, where they have previously been added to playlists such as Walk Like A Badass (2.2 million+ likes) and The Rock List (588k+ likes).

Sharing a mutual love of Queens Of The Stone Age, Muse and Iggy Pop in their teenage years, Joe and Mike started performing in small venues, and soon captured the attention of hungry fans and music industry tastemakers alike. Later joined by drummer James Goulbourn in 2015, they were completed by Louis Heaps on bass. HIMALAYAS started making their own unique blend of raucous fast-paced rock’n’roll music, which soon went on to earn them an extremely solid fanbase. The four-piece have been cutting their teeth on the live circuit ever since, playing highly-regarded festivals including SXSW and Reading & Leeds Festival, supported the likes of Stereophonics and Manic Street Preachers, and have played sold out headline shows in London and Cardiff.
