News: London’s Ary Maudit Debuts With Pop Punk Fizzer ‘No Intention’

London’s Ary Maudit releases of debut single ‘No Intention’. A non-binary artist, producer, and engineer renouned for her work outside of her own releases, the new single see’s Maudit step out form behind the mixing desk and into the spotlight, unveiling a sound that fuses pop-punk energy with emotionally candid alt-pop songwriting.

Bursting with punchy guitars, infectious hooks, and an undeniable sing-along quality, ‘No Intention’ balances nostalgia with modern emotional honesty. Echoes of Good Charlotte and Green Day can be heard in the track’s restless spirit, yet Ary Maudit’s perspective feels entirely their own: contemporary, introspective, and deeply personal.

At its surface, the single radiates carefree momentum, but beneath the immediacy lies a more reflective core. The song explores the instability and emotional ambiguity of modern relationships, while also mirroring the uncertainty that often accompanies creative ambition and self-discovery.

“‘No Intention’ is about the volatility of modern relationships,” Ary explains. “We waste loads of time on things that take us nowhere. It’s about navigating that, not just romantically but as a creative. This is the start of a journey.”

For many within the industry, Ary Maudit is already a familiar name. Before launching their solo project, they spent years building an impressive reputation behind the scenes as a producer and sound engineer, collaborating with artists including FKA twigs, Loyle Carner, and Yungblud. Their live engineering work has also taken them to major festival stages, mixing performances for acts such as Kae Tempest and Floating Points at events including Glastonbury Festival, Reading Festival, and Leeds Festival.

That technical background is central to the identity of ‘No Intention’. Originally conceived as an electronic production, the track evolved as Ary reconnected with the guitar-driven sounds that first inspired them creatively. Written in fragments between touring commitments — often on the back of tour buses using Ableton — the song eventually came together in early 2026 in Ary’s own studio, marking what they describe as a period of renewed clarity and artistic direction.

The result is a debut that feels instinctive yet meticulously crafted, combining raw punk immediacy with the precision of someone who has spent years shaping sound for others. It is a transition from collaborator to front-facing artist that feels both natural and long overdue.

Beyond the music itself, Ary Maudit’s work is also rooted in advocacy and community-building. Through Audio QoS, an initiative dedicated to accessibility and safer creative environments for queer and underrepresented artists, they have become an active voice for inclusivity within the wider music industry.

With ‘No Intention’, Ary Maudit delivers more than an introduction; they present a mission statement. Energetic, vulnerable, and unapologetically human, the track reframes the rebellious spirit of punk through a modern lens, one shaped by identity, connection, and the realities of creative life in 2026.
