News: Remi Wolf announces Australian headline shows as new album Mud arrives

Remi Wolf is heading back to Australia this December, bringing her genre-bending alt-pop to Sydney’s Enmore Theatre and Melbourne’s Forum alongside the release of her third studio album, Mud. The Californian singer-songwriter will be joined by New York artist Leyla Ebrahimi for both headline shows.

The dates mark Wolf’s return to Australian stages following her 2024 Laneway Festival debut and headline shows, as well as her 2023 run supporting Paramore. She’ll also appear at every stop of this year’s Spilt Milk Festival, making December a busy month for one of pop’s more unpredictable performers.

Released today via Island Records, Mud finds Wolf pulling back from the maximalist chaos of 2021’s Juno and 2024’s Big Ideas. Across eleven tracks, the newly 30-year-old trades some of her technicolour exuberance for something earthier and more introspective, without abandoning the funk, soul and left-field pop instincts that have made her music so distinctive.

Led by single Twiggy, the album follows a relentless stretch of touring alongside Paramore, Olivia Rodrigo and Halsey. It’s a reset of sorts, with Wolf turning her attention inward after years spent building a reputation for wildly energetic performances and songs that refuse to sit neatly within genre boundaries.

With more than a billion global streams and tracks including Photo ID, Sexy Villain and Cinderella under her belt, Wolf has carved out her own corner of contemporary pop. Her Australian return offers a chance to hear how that restless creativity translates to the stage in this new chapter.

Joining her is Leyla Ebrahimi, whose collision of dark synth-pop, dance-punk and guitar-driven indie makes her a fitting addition to the bill. With singles I’m Too Pretty for This and Nobody Matters But You already establishing her genre-fluid approach, the New York newcomer is currently working on her debut album.

Australian headline dates

Tuesday 15 December – Enmore Theatre, Sydney

Thursday 17 December – Forum Melbourne, Melbourne

Frontier Members presale begins Tuesday 13 October at 11am local time, with general tickets on sale Wednesday 14 October at 12pm local time.
