News: Rising Singer-Songwriter Jesabel Shares New Single ‘Men Of Paris’

Singer-songwriter Jesabel captures the romance and spontaneity of the French capital on her latest single, ‘Men of Paris’, a dreamy slice of alternative pop inspired by three chance encounters that renewed her faith in human connection and the enduring appeal of old-fashioned romance.

Blending cinematic textures with intimate, autobiographical storytelling, ‘Men of Paris’ explores the unexpected beauty of fleeting connections and the lasting impressions they can leave behind. Written following Jesabel’s first extended stay in Paris in spring 2025, the track draws on three encounters with men who made an impression not through grand gestures or romantic promises, but through the simple pleasure of being present in the moment.

Having experienced the different ways men approach and pursue women in the United States, Jesabel found these Parisian interactions refreshingly uncomplicated. Free from pressure or expectation, the encounters offered something increasingly rare: genuine conversation, shared moments and a sense of romance that emerged naturally rather than being deliberately pursued. Reflecting on the experience, she says, “Perhaps romanticism, spontaneity & chivalry aren’t dead yet,” adding, “A nod to the Men of Paris for being a breath of fresh air.”

The story behind the single is just as serendipitous as the encounters that inspired it. During her first visit to Paris, a chance vinyl purchase led Jesabel to discover Motorbass Studios, a celebrated recording space with a musical history connected to artists including Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg. The discovery would prove significant when she returned to the French capital a year later, this time to record the vocals for ‘Men of Paris’ in the very studio she had stumbled upon during her initial stay.

Immersed in the atmosphere and history of the space, Jesabel found herself bringing the experience full circle, connecting the real-life encounters that sparked the song with the creative process that transformed them into music. Now returning to Paris for a third stay to release the single, she views the journey as a story told in three parts: the chance meetings that provided its inspiration, the recording sessions that gave it life and the return that allows her to share it with the world.

That sense of following an unexpected path has become a defining feature of Jesabel’s wider artistic journey. After overcoming a lifelong fear of singing in her mid-twenties, she turned a personal leap of faith into an international recording career, developing a sound that brings contemporary pop into conversation with soulful influences and cinematic songwriting. Splitting her time between Florida and Paris, she draws heavily on lived experience, finding creative inspiration in the emotions, encounters and seemingly ordinary moments that take on greater meaning with time.

Her creative interests extend beyond music, too. A former professional model who worked in Miami and Milan, appeared on the cover of SHAPE magazine in Germany and walked at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Jesabel now runs a vintage boutique in Jacksonville, Florida. Her interest in fashion and storytelling continues through carefully curated Parisian collections, while her growing attachment to France has encouraged her to study French and pursue ballet in both countries.

Across music, fashion and dance, Jesabel is drawn to the same qualities: authenticity, a sense of beauty in unexpected places and the stories that emerge when life is allowed to unfold without a predetermined outcome. Those themes sit at the heart of ‘Men of Paris’, which finds meaning in encounters that might otherwise have passed without a second thought.

Rather than presenting romance as something that requires elaborate declarations or a guaranteed happy ending, the single celebrates the freedom of connecting with another person without expectations. Its Parisian setting lends the track an unmistakable sense of atmosphere, while its personal origins give the dreamy alternative pop production an emotional intimacy that reaches beyond the city itself.

With ‘Men of Paris’, Jesabel transforms three fleeting encounters into a tender portrait of a place where romance can feel spontaneous, uncomplicated and entirely unexpected. Rooted in real experiences but alive with cinematic charm, the single is a reminder that meaningful connections do not always need to become something more. Sometimes, their beauty lies simply in the moment itself.
