News: TFS Wage War on Ignorance in Blistering New Single ‘Dunning Kruger’s Loser Cruiser’

Australia’s premier purveyors of psych-punk chaos, Tropical F*ck Storm, are back with a brain-melting new single, ‘Dunning Kruger’s Loser Cruiser’, lifted from their incoming fourth studio LP, Fairyland Codex, due June 20 via their new home at Fire Records.

Recorded at the band’s Dodgy Brothers bunker in Nagambie with co-producer Michael Beach, Fairyland Codex promises another plunge into the eye of societal collapse—an apocalyptic landslide soundtracked by demented guitars, jagged rhythms and off-kilter prophecy.

The new track is a hallucinogenic ride through ego and ignorance, riffing on the Dunning–Kruger effect with a soapbox preacher screaming into the void, backed by a choir of burnt-out non-believers. Think righteous fury colliding with weaponised absurdity.

Dropping alongside a gloriously unhinged animated video—created by Nespy 5 Euro (Gilla Band, Metz, Deerhoof) and 3D shapeshifter Happisoft—the clip throws you headfirst into a digital wasteland where TFS’s wild-eyed dystopia becomes disturbingly real.

Tropical Fuck Storm are gearing up for a World Tour over the next year, Europe, UK and US dates announced, including stops at End Of The Road Festival, Manchester Psych Fest, and to perform as part of the Ice Cream Floats Cruise presented by Modest Mouse in early 2026.

Pre-save Fairyland Codex HERE.
