After ten years in the champions league of indie rock, with three top ten albums behind them as well as last years It’s Automatic album, which comfortably made the top 20, Coventry’s The Enemy have announced that their time with us is over, but not before a handful of tour dates to bow out in suitable fashion. Announcing the split, the band said “As we stand on stage for the last few times on this tour, I’ll be cherishing the last fleeting moments of a decade that has shaped who we all are, bands and fans alike. We all know what we’ll be sharing. Come, bring your hearts, bring your lungs and leave with our songs, take them onto the streets and into your lives and keep them alive for us forever”.

They leave us not just with those albums, but top ten singles ‘Away from here’ and ‘Had Enough’,and take with them a clutch of awards including Q Award (Best New Act), XFM Award (Best British Debut Album) and NME Award (Best New Band).

Full dates below. Special guests to be announced.

Saturday 17 September – The Empire, Coventry
Saturday 24 September – Newcastle, O2 Academy
